Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Rank101 ("Rank101", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, shares and deletes information when you use our web application at app.rank101.com (the "Service"). Rank101 is a marketing platform for local businesses and the agencies that serve them: it diagnoses a business's online presence, analyzes and manages Google Ads campaigns, tracks search and Google Maps rankings, and helps publish content.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored hashed), company name and role.
  • Business information: website address, business name, address, phone, services, service areas and public information we read from your website and your public Google listing when you ask us to scan them.
  • Billing information: plan and payment status. Card details are entered on and processed by Stripe; we never receive or store full card numbers.
  • Usage information: pages visited in the app, actions taken, device and browser type, IP address and log data used to operate and secure the Service.
  • Data from accounts you connect: only when you choose to connect them, as described in the next section.

2. Google user data we access and why

3. Limited Use of Google user data

Rank101's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular:

  • We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above.
  • We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use or transfer it for advertising, retargeting or credit decisions.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide the Service, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
  • No person at Rank101 reads Google user data unless you give us permission (for example, in a support request), it is necessary for security or abuse investigations, or it is required by law.
  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. When a feature uses an AI provider to write your report or recommendations, only the data needed for that request is sent, under terms that do not allow the provider to train on it.

4. How we use information

To run the Service (diagnoses, reports, rankings, campaign tools, content and notifications), to process payments, to provide support, to keep the Service secure, to send service emails you can expect (such as "your diagnosis is ready"), and to comply with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We never sell personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that operate the Service for us: hosting, email delivery, payment processing (Stripe) and AI processing for the reports you request.
  • Data providers for public search data. For rankings and SEO metrics we send your website domain and keywords, never your Google user data.
  • The agency that manages your account, if you were invited by one, which can see your data inside the Service.
  • Authorities when required by law, or a successor company in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you.

6. Storage and security

Data is stored on servers in the United States with restricted access. Connections to the Service and to Google are encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Access tokens for connected accounts are kept on our servers, are never shown in the app or sent to your browser, and are used only to make the requests described above.

7. Retention and deletion

  • We keep your information while your account is active.
  • You can disconnect Google or any other account at any time from Integrations in the app. We then stop accessing it and delete its stored access tokens. You can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • To delete your account and its data, email support@rank101.com. We delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).

8. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage only to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as language, and keep the Service secure. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale (we do not sell it). Email us to exercise these rights; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

10. Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify account owners by email or in the app before they take effect.
